2. My BIG WHY
There’s something in making someone else feel good, to witness them gain the confidence and a sense of being in control, and seeing them make positive changes in their life that motivates me in a way that is real, exciting, and touching.
So, it’s no surprise that I have been teaching others in various ways as long as I can remember.
I somehow knew two things at a very young age:
(1) That I would be a teacher. (a Kindergarten teacher, I thought)
(2) That I would be a business woman. (I told my Dad I’d be a successful one)
I’ve been running my own business and teaching my entire adult life, and in doing that, I’ve been inspiring and inspired, motivating and motivated, cheering and cheered.
I guess that’s the gift of giving something that is part of you—it grows, it becomes shared and it usually comes back in ways bigger than you ever could have imagined.
3. The Path, The Journey, The Story; It‘s Long. But, It’s Mine.
In my teens, I feel in love with dance. And, I mean, I FELL IN LOVE! It was one of those things that was a part of my DNA, before I knew it even existed. I learned of this new and wonderful experience, and I was hooked. I started my training and began a teaching career only three years later!
As a young girl, I was often advised by those more “experienced” (in life, work, money, who knows?) and certainly well meaning adults, that this was not a career to pursue. “Become an English teacher and dance on the side, for fun.” I would have nothing of it. I went full force ahead.
Off I went to spend what was to become over two decades of learning, growing, and loving my business, and my life. I was HAPPY and every little test, and growth pain I had along the way was well worth it.
When my life offered me some changes, I put one foot in front of the other and found myself on new and unexpected paths. Some of those moments were glorious and wonderful like when I fell in love with the man of my dreams, (yes, he dances) and getting married, moving from the suburbs to the big exciting city of New York, traveling more, and exploring life. Moments I cherish and hold so close to my heart.
Others, well, we all know hardships. We all face those challenges that test you each and every morning, causing you to ask yourself, “Will I get out of bed today? Couldn’t I just go back to sleep?” In these years, I found myself wanting something new, something different, something that would highlight, expose and nurture those other parts of my DNA, other parts of myself that were craving attention.
So, as naturally as the sun rises in the morning, I looked in a new direction and began a new journey.
After a long love of teaching dance/fitness, my passions evolved to helping women turn their dreams into an online business & presence that they could feel proud to share. I had learned so much in the process of doing this for my own business and I saw the need to support others.
I realized one day, (and finally come to terms with) that this is my second career. It was so hard to break out of my shell. It was a true challenge for me to explain to people that I have desires beyond dance. It was hard to allow that separation – it was pretty deeply engrained. And, then, I allowed myself to be another version of me :). It’s been close to a decade now and I am joyful to be where I am on this path.
There is a disconnect that seems to take far too long in this process that is so integral to sharing our dreams using the internet. So, I set out to find ways to help others cut down the time it takes to succeed online by using a systematic approach. A teacher at heart, this became my new material to impart and share. A fun loving creative, this proved a way to connect and share a most vital and amazing energy with others.
