<p>Happy Movement Monday! Today&#8217;s tip is all about the finding, feeling, and being the music. I hope you have as much fun with this as I do!</p>
<p>I personally find that music has an enormous power to effect the emotions and feelings that I experience. Have you ever been, let&#8217;s say just driving your car, listening to the radio and then a song comes on that touches your heart? All of a sudden you are back in High School, or holding your 16 year old as an infant, maybe your remembering someone you lost? I am always amazed by this transportation. I invite you today to use that to your benefit. Put on your jammin&#8217;ist&#8217;, rockin&#8217;ist&#8217;, happiest, most exciting tunes and DANCE, MOVE, SHAKE, LET LOSE, and LET GO!</p>

<p>Well, increasing your endurance could mean that you can run back into the house 3 times because you forgot something (again) without getting winded. It could mean that you&#8217;ll be better at playing with the kids in your life  (your own, your nieces and nephews) without losing your breath &#8211; although they will inevitably beat out any adult any day. It could mean that you can walk with your family and hike on a beautiful Sunday afternoon without having to stop and rest as often. It could me that you can take your already fit body and push even further on your next run, bike or game!</p>
<p>Basically, having better stamina will allow you to enjoy your life to the fullest!</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p><strong>Here are some (free) things you can do to increase your endurance / stamina:</strong></p>
<p><strong>Challenge Yourself:</strong> go a little harder, a little longer each time you do an activity or exercise. Even :30 seconds to a minute additional each time can be effective.</p>
<p><strong>Take a Brisk Walk:</strong> Strolling is nice and has purpose. But, be sure to balance it out with some brisk, strong, power walks that increase your heart rate and work your heart muscle.</p>
<p><strong>Be Creative:</strong> What do you like to do with your body? Stretch, shake and wiggle, run, jog, dance, bike, play tennis&#8230;? Think outside the box and grab something fun and creative that is floating out there for you to try!</p>
<p><strong>Dance is Great for Endurance.</strong> Why not try it on your own for 30-45 mins with your fav tunes, or try a group dance fit class. Have fun with your workout!</p>

Our bodies are largely made of of water. When you exercise, workout, move, which creates perspiration, your body loses liquid. It&#8217;s a healthy response that has to do with the cooling system of the body and the releasing of toxins like lactic acid that are a byproduct of doing the workout. Therefore, it&#8217;s vital to stay hydrated with plenty of good ol&#8217; H2O and other healthy liquids.</p>
<p>Keep in mind, this is increased with climate changes. So, if you are in the cold winter, when everything about you feels dry,  increase your water intake. Likewise, if you are in the sun, (on vacation out of the cold perhaps?) and everything about you feels hot, increase your water intake.</p>
<p>I encourage you to do some movement on this Monday for yourself, for your body, for your energy! Then, enjoy a tall glass of cold water.</p>
<p>Move, drink water, and be healthy.</p>

You may have seen the beginning of this many times, but, watch to the end, that&#8217;s where I&#8217;ve added a little twist on things to really reach all the parts of your torso.</p>

I know, I know, it may not be very happy for some, it&#8217;s the dreaded back to the grind and leave the weekend fun behind for many. But it is also a great day for a fresh start, a clean slate, and for getting back on track.</p>
<p>So in my newest weekly post theme, I hope to inspire you to make the most of a Monday that may or may not be blue. If you can start on Monday with one small change in your movement, workout routine, your nutrition and diet, you can be on the way to making big changes and creating lifelong habits that ultimately make you feel GREAT!</p>
<p>Each week, I&#8217;ll share a fitness tip, an idea, a suggestion, a video, a workout, a new favorite recipe, in short a myriad of things that can make your MOVEMENT MONDAY a success. &#8220;Movement&#8221; in this case will represent, yes, physical movement and activity. But, also, the idea of moving forward. I believe that our best results come from an all encompassing mind, body, soul approach to life, so enter: Movement Monday&#8217;s! This weekly post will consist of everything from basic thoughts on awareness, to full video workouts.</p>
<p>We are all amazing dynamic and complex people. In the coming weeks, My goal with thses ideas on health fitness, movement, flexibility, motivation and inspiration, is that it helps you keep fitness and health in the forefront of your mind. Remember, it&#8217;s the little things that count. Small changes done consistently can have HUGE effects.</p>

<p>I find that these lessons that I learned when I was growing up are truly a part of who I am as a woman today. I am fiercely loyal, understanding, and compassionate to my family, friends and colleges. <p style="margin: 0px; font: 13px Georgia;">In this post I&#8217;m going to talk about Ballroom and Latin dance shoes which are made with suede or split leather bottoms. These materials on the sole help the foot to glide across the floor and at the same time it also has a certain amount of &#8216;stick&#8217; which creates control.</p>
<p style="margin: 0px; font: 13px Georgia;">There is nothing worse for a dancer than a dance floor that is too slick or a dance shoe that needs to be brushed (I&#8217;ll explain shoe brushes in tomorrow&#8217;s post). To be spinning and rotating around the floor, often simultaneously, and not have a good grip under your feet can be a little scary and very uncomfortable to the dancer.</p>
<p style="margin: 0px; font: 13px Georgia;"><span style="color: #ff0000;"><strong>Questions to determine when buying dance shoes</strong></span><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><span style="font-family: 'Trebuchet MS',Verdana,sans-serif; font-size: small; line-height: 14px;"><br />

<p style="margin: 0px; font: 13px Georgia;"><strong>Are they comfortable?</strong></p>
<p style="margin: 0px; font: 13px Georgia;">You should feel like you&#8217;d be able to walk a marathon in your dance shoes, because by the end of the night it&#8217;s very likely that you will do the equivalent in dancing.</p>
<p style="margin: 0px; font: 13px Georgia;"><strong>Are they secure?</strong></p>
<p style="margin: 0px; font: 13px Georgia;">You don&#8217;t want your shoes falling off your feet when you&#8217;re walking down the street, can you image moving to the beat of the music and having the back of your shoe keep slipping off, or even the entire foot inside the shoe feeling wobbly? Make sure the straps feel secure.</p>
<p style="margin: 0px; font: 13px Georgia;"><strong>Are the straps too tight?</strong></p>
<p style="margin: 0px; font: 13px Georgia;">Be sure that the straps are not digging anywhere into your foot, that&#8217;s a horror scene. I had to buy a pair of shoes in a pinch last year at an event and they were just terrible. After the first hour, I was dancing in pain and most of the night until I just couldn&#8217;t take it anymore. So, buy for comfort not hoping to break them in.</p>
<p style="margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px; font: 13.0px Georgia;"><strong>Are they YOUR style?</strong></p>
<p style="margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px; font: 13.0px Georgia;">I know this may seem a little superficial but, it&#8217;s true.  I feel like I dance better when I am wearing my favorite Strappy Sexy Latin Dance Shoes! They are pretty, sexy, fun, and wearing them makes me feel the same. So pick out a pair of shoes that you just love!</p>
<p style="margin: 0px; font: 13px Georgia;">Go ahead, pick out the ones that are outrageously glittery or bold in pattern or color. Your moving feet on the dance floor are often watched – why not dress them up?!</p>
